Removal of skin formations with Plexr
Often in Dermatology there are skin formations, which, although benign, are less attractive and worry the patient in addition to healthy and purely aesthetic.
The most common are fibroids, warts, cellular nevi, xanthelasmas. Removing them usually involves laser or energy-based devices, which have the potential disadvantage of creating more trauma and even the possibility of residual scarring.
PLEXR technology is the world’s first plasma coagulator, with which it is possible to treat a wide range of skin problems without risks, pain, scarring or hospital stay. Immediately after the procedure, the patient can return to her/his normal daily life.
Skin conditions treated with PLEXR:
- Removal of mild skin growths known as dermatofibromas
- Removal of moles
- Treatment of xanthelasmas, which are yellow deposits of fat under the skin, usually near the eyelids
- Removal of fibroids (skin pendants)
- Fibroids are common benign formations, representing small growths on the skin. The reasons for their appearance are unclear, but there are various predisposing factors such as family history, endocrine or hormonal disorders, obesity. They often occur during pregnancy or menopause. In some cases, they are also associated with the appearance of seborrheic warts.
- Fibroids are most often multiple and are localized on the face, neck, armpits, chest, groin, but can also be located on other parts of the body. They are small (several millimetres) and rarely larger (up to 1-2 cm) spherical, “tight” at the base pendants with a brownish colour or the colour of the surrounding skin. It is good to know that they never change malignantly.
