Removal of warts

Removal of warts

Warts are benign viral papillomas, characterized by the growth of layers of skin with an uneven and rough surface.

They affect both sexes, at any age and are widespread throughout the world. They are caused by human papillomaviruses (HPV) type 1-4, 26-29, 38, 41 and others.

Clinically, they can be single or multiple, and can be located in different parts of the body:

  • on hands, palms, feet (chicken thorn)
  • under the nail plate
  • face, eyelids
  • on the neck
  • on the mucous membrane of the mouth and the back of the tongue

Laser treatment of flat warts:

They are caused by HPV type 3. They are more common in adolescents and children, spread quickly to the face, neck and limbs. They are flat, round or oval in shape, slightly raised, with a smooth surface. Their color is pale brown, pale pink or yellowish. Rarely, self-healing may occur after months or years, and more often their number increases progressively.

Laser removal of acute warts (Condylomata acuminate)

They are an infection most often caused by HPV types 6 and 11, less commonly 16, 18, 42, occurring mainly in adulthood, on the genital mucosa and sometimes in the area of the oral mucosa. Predisposing factors are inflammatory processes in the genital area, sexual intercourse and others.

Laser wart removal is a newer but proven method of treatment and its advantages are:

  • the procedure is painless, as it is performed after local anesthesia
  • the integrity of the skin is restored quickly
  • after the procedure no special care and sanitary measures are required, which allows us to immediately return to our normal daily life
  • achieving a faster final result
  • fewer doctor visits
  • the method is gentle and leaves no scars
  • can be done all year round

Removal of skin formations with Plexr

Removal of skin formations with Plexr

Often in Dermatology there are skin formations, which, although benign, are less attractive and worry the patient in addition to healthy and purely aesthetic.

The most common are fibroids, warts, cellular nevi, xanthelasmas. Removing them usually involves laser or energy-based devices, which have the potential disadvantage of creating more trauma and even the possibility of residual scarring.

PLEXR technology is the world’s first plasma coagulator, with which it is possible to treat a wide range of skin problems without risks, pain, scarring or hospital stay. Immediately after the procedure, the patient can return to her/his normal daily life.

Skin conditions treated with PLEXR:

  • Removal of mild skin growths known as dermatofibromas
  • Removal of moles
  • Treatment of xanthelasmas, which are yellow deposits of fat under the skin, usually near the eyelids
  • Removal of fibroids (skin pendants)
  • Fibroids are common benign formations, representing small growths on the skin. The reasons for their appearance are unclear, but there are various predisposing factors such as family history, endocrine or hormonal disorders, obesity. They often occur during pregnancy or menopause. In some cases, they are also associated with the appearance of seborrheic warts.
  • Fibroids are most often multiple and are localized on the face, neck, armpits, chest, groin, but can also be located on other parts of the body. They are small (several millimetres) and rarely larger (up to 1-2 cm) spherical, “tight” at the base pendants with a brownish colour or the colour of the surrounding skin. It is good to know that they never change malignantly.

Excision

Excision

Surgical excision, also known as removal of a skin formation, is the complete removal of benign (nevi, cysts, seborrheic vertebrae, etc.) and malignant formations on the skin. This completely eliminates the risk of malignant degeneration (malignancy) and spread to the surrounding skin or other organs of the body.

Before the intervention itself, you should go through a consultation with our specialist so that you can ask all your questions and he will specify how the procedure works.

After excision of the lesion with a scalpel, the wound is closed with surgical sutures and covered with a sterile waterproof bandage. The intervention lasts between 20-30 minutes, depending on the size of the treated area. There may be a slight swelling after the intervention. Bleeding and sagging of the sutures are rare. Skin infections and allergic reactions to anaesthesia are very rare.

The operative wound heals in 7 to 10 days. It is recommended not to get wet for at least 48 hours and to avoid excessive physical effort until the sutures are removed.

Biopsy

Biopsy

Biopsy is one of the privileges of dermatology because the skin is a very easily accessible organ. Sometimes the same skin changes are a typical symptom of different skin diseases that require a different treatment. To make the right decision, the dermatologist needs a more in-depth look, which is provided by examining the tissues under a microscope.

A biopsy is an intervention that is performed in the presence of tumours in various organs and parts of the body to determine their appearance and nature. Through this method the skin is examined at the cellular and sometimes molecular level.

The procedure is completely painless. Local anesthesia is applied, with a very slight sting. The biopsy is performed with a specific instrument called a punch, with the help of which a circle is cut from the affected skin with a diameter of 2-6 mm., depending on the needs of the study. The wound that remains usually heals in a few days.

Hair Loss Treatment

Hair Loss Treatment

Hair loss is a common concern that can affect anyone, regardless of age or gender. It may start gradually with thinning hair or become more noticeable with larger bald patches. This condition can result from a variety of factors, including genetics, hormonal imbalances, stress, nutritional deficiencies, or underlying medical conditions. While hair loss is a natural part of aging, it can also occur prematurely, leading to significant emotional distress for those affected.

The most common form of hair loss is androgenetic alopecia, commonly known as male or female pattern baldness. This type of hair loss is characterized by a receding hairline in men and thinning hair along the crown in women. Other types of hair loss, such as alopecia areata, can cause sudden patches of hair loss, while telogen effluvium leads to diffuse thinning across the scalp.

Hair loss can occur on any part of the body, but it is most noticeable on the scalp, where it can be more challenging to conceal. The condition can progress over time, leading to a reduction in hair density and, in severe cases, complete baldness.

What are the treatment options?

Early intervention is key to managing hair loss effectively. Several treatment options are available, ranging from topical solutions and oral medications to advanced procedures. One of the most popular and effective treatments for hair loss is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy. PRP involves drawing a small amount of the patient’s blood, processing it to concentrate the platelets, and then injecting the enriched plasma into the scalp. These platelets contain growth factors that can stimulate hair follicles, promote hair growth, and increase hair thickness.

PRP therapy is typically done in a series of sessions over a few months, and results can vary depending on the individual’s response to treatment. It is minimally invasive, with little to no downtime, making it an attractive option for those looking for a non-surgical solution to hair loss.

In addition to PRP, other treatment methods include the use of topical minoxidil, which can help slow down hair loss and promote regrowth, and oral medications like finasteride, which can reduce the hormone levels responsible for hair thinning. For more advanced cases, hair transplantation may be considered, where hair follicles from a donor site are surgically implanted into the thinning or balding areas of the scalp.

NAD+ IV

NAD+ IV

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a coenzyme present in almost all cells of the body. NAD+ is essential for metabolic function, slows the aging process, improves athletic performance, stimulates recovery and brain function.

NAD+’s connection to metabolic processes is to assist in the conversion of nutrients into energy.

The concentration of NAD+ in the human body decreases by more than 50% between the ages of 30 and 50.

NAD+ IV infusion therapy activates enzymes in the body that repair human DNA and prevent it from being damaged. Intravenous NAD+ therapy is used in addition to the treatment of autoimmune conditions such as arthritis and fibromyalgia. It also helps manage pain in these conditions.

The therapy supports the production of hormones such as serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin and endorphins. These hormones promote positive feelings such as happiness, pleasure and love.

Science believes that long-term body rejuvenation is possible, and one of its secreted ingredients is called nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+).

Imagine a toddler running around and playing for hours without feeling tired.

Our patients report feeling invigorated and energized after this therapy.

Currently, the most effective form of NAD+ is liquid. Administered as intravenous (IV) therapy, it bypasses all barriers to absorption by the body.

Benefits of NAD+ IV therapy

  • Increases energy
  • Boosts metabolism
  • Regenerates cells
  • Slows down aging
  • Strengthens the immune system
  • Helps eliminate toxins
  • Slows down cognitive decline
  • Supports healthy brain function
  • Fights chronic fatigue
  • Reduces internal inflammation

Dermatosurgery

Dermatosurgery

Dermatosurgery plays a vital role in the assessment and management of skin health, especially when addressing skin lesions that could indicate serious conditions. Regular monitoring of new or changing skin formations, lesions, moles, melanomas, parasitic infections, psoriasis, nail diseases, and scalp or skin changes is essential. A thorough examination, starting with dermatoscopy, helps specialists analyze the skin’s surface layers and pigment formations closely.

Dermatoscopy is a non-invasive method for observing the upper layers of the skin. Using a dermatoscope—equipped with a magnifying glass, a light source, a transparent plate, and sometimes a liquid medium—the device magnifies skin structures up to 10 times. This precision aids in distinguishing benign from malignant lesions, particularly in diagnosing melanoma. Digital dermatoscopic images can be stored and compared over time to monitor changes.

Dermatosurgery may be recommended based on dermatoscopic findings to address lesions that require minor surgical intervention, such as a biopsy or removal. This proactive approach reduces the need for more invasive treatments and supports early diagnosis. The examination itself is risk-free and requires only that the skin is well-cleansed, making it an essential, straightforward procedure for skin health monitoring.

Hair Transplantation

Hair Transplantation

Hair transplantation returns not only your hair, but also what you have lost – the first and foremost – your self-esteem.

It is estimated that 1 in 2 men and 1 in 4 women show significant hair thinning up to 50 years of age. Hair begins to fall due to hereditary predisposition (androgenic type of alopecia), which leads to thinning of the scalp hair. Very often, the phenomenon begins at the end of puberty and develops very quickly, greatly influencing the fragile self-esteem, as the hair loss has a strong psychological impact.

Hair transplantation is the only medical solution for re-thickening hair in the zones of thinning. The result is obtained by taking the hair follicles from the back of the head and implanting in the diluted areas. This is the only treatment that with a sophisticated method of follicular unit extraction (FUE) can provide a consistent and natural result, painless, without scars, without side effects.

Hair transplant with Trichoscopically controlled method

Bellissimo hair clinic offers the most advanced method “Trichoscopically controlled FUE”, which is based on the study of trichoscopy and provides:

• maximum utilization of the donor area (extraction zone of hair follicles)
• optimal coverage of the thinned areas
• excellent planning of the front hairline
• increasing the vitality and quality of the grafts (transported hair follicles)
• reviving all grafts

STEP 1: Trichoscopic study

Trichoscopy is the first necessary step in assessing the characteristics of the scalp. An assessment is made of the extent of the donor area that can be used and of the coverage needs in the diluted areas.

STEP 2: Hair transplant planning

Based on the trichoscopic study and after determining the number of hair follicles available for transplantation, their distribution is planned in the thinned areas to achieve the best aesthetic result.

STEP 3: Performing the hair transplant

The transplantation process begins with the preparation of individual hair follicles from the donor area. The instruments used have a diameter of less than one millimeter (about 0.6 millimeters). It is exactly as much as necessary to remove the hair follicles from the surrounding tissues without harming the donor area or endangering the survival of the hair follicles themselves. The vitality of the hair follicles is further enhanced by the modern PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) method as grafts are kept in an enriched plasma solution until implanted in the diluted areas. Through this method they are strengthened for the purpose of their implantation and enrichment. Once removed from the hair follicles, they are to be implanted in the thinned areas, always at the correct depth and with the right angle and direction so that the end result is absolutely natural.

STEP 4: Comparative trichoscopic study

Upon completion of the hair transplantation, periodic repetition of the scan is performed, allowing detailed examination and detection of changes in treated areas with statistical measurements and comparative imaging “before” and “after”. It is also possible to reassess the number and density of hairs and hair follicles in the diluted areas. The result of the hair transplant looks complete after 12 months.

FUE Method

Today, in our clinic, we apply the Automatic F.U.E. Technique, without incision and stitching. The use of the latest automated micro-engine allows more transplants to be extracted for less time and especially with zero loss of follicular injury!

Using a microscope, we always remove each hairy stable growth follicle from the donor area one after the other, and then transfer it and place it intact in the cured zone. With this method we avoid surgical removal of the graft from the back of the head. This technique is applied in appropriate circumstances after detailed information. It is indicated as a basic method for hair transplantation, as well as in case of additional thickening or covering of small traumatic areas.

FUT Method and Micro Strip Tech

This is the oldest hair transplant procedure, but it is developed with the latest technical applications.
In the FUT (strip) method, the doctor removes a strip of tissue from the donor area (permanent hair area) located at the back and on the sides of the scalp. This strip is split into separate hair follicles. At the same time, the plastic surgeon places each hair follicle individually depending on past and future hair loss. The result will be completely natural and the aesthetic appearance of the visitor – impressive. The advantage of this technique is the large number of hair follicles that provides us with the donor area so that a large portion of the thinned area is covered.

Micro Strip Technique

This is the latest and most impressive evolution of the Mega Strip as it caters to all those who are undergoing hair transplantation, because with this technique we can place 10,000 hairs with even a single plan, a number that gives remarkable results even for advanced hair loss. The great advantage of the Micro Strip technique compared to the classic Strip is the invisible incision after grafting.
